Infection and Terror Update: Your Agent has apparently led a campaign of terror across eastern Russia. Any sign of infection that was smuggled across has been dealt with and your infection remains at 0! Terror is still on 2.
Funding Control: You saved $4 - You only need to spend that on S. Forces when you pick them up. Funding has increased by $3 as sanctions are lifted. You spent all 35 this turn - No change in bank.
Agent Update: The infection has not crossed the border. You do not ask to see the reports.
Military Update: Romania/Greek border (Romania doesn't border turkey) is now closed, along with the Eastern Russian borders to Asia. Filters have rolled out. Your special forces have gone into spain and suffered damage - More will be in the narration.
Diplomatic Update: Antivirals have been distributed successfully in Kazakstan. It's not getting any worse there!

What country does border turkey? The map shows that being one big country.

Is there another country south of Romania that is invisible on the map?

But it is not on the map. The official map shows that area as one area. i assumed we were supposed to use that as our countries. Hence why I've been talking about Romanian Turkey border.
I need an official ruling on this.

Also did that Infantry unit get into Greece?

Okay so everyone has Air Filters but the one fighter and bomber unit. We could do that for $2
Assuming that infantry is in Greece We should secure that border for $4. Also assuming the Turkey, whatever the hell the troops in Romania actually are, border is secure we don't need to do that. Mongolia and maybe china should secure? Mongolia for sure for $4.
Also the Arctic fleet can start securing the arctic sea zone and the Japan fleet can secure that sea zone.
I do not know if we have to pay for the Spec Force to get out of Spain or just wait till they get to France and then recall them.

Go for it. We've avoided infections in our core territory so far (unlike the US, which is giving me considerable schadenfreude right now), but we wont get lucky forever. I'd like to keep those crews safe if East Russia gets infected.
Would it be worth trying to evac our special forces by sea?

Do we actually NEED Romania? We could just pull back to Ukraine and fortify the hell out of that and Belarus.

Probably not, to be honest, but I think defense in depth is a good thing here. Also it is our national goal to expand our territory.
But if the US gets really, really ugly we could withdraw as a show of good faith while trying to poison world opinion against them.
Also, since this was a late edit: Would it be worth trying to evac our special forces by sea?

Well Egypt navy is in the med and Brazil is in the Atlantic. I have no idea if it matters where in Spain the spec force currently is. The narrative said they were moving towards France?
Also the US did say they would ignore Ukraine if we left Romania, might be something to look into as it should still count for our objective.

I am starting to get the feeling the US victory condition involves Romania in some way. They're being really harsh about it.

Yeah me too. If you can find maybe ask them bluntly then we should totally just give it too them. I think we are good on ours with just Ukraine.

If it really does require us out of Romania I'll probably offer it for some money (we invested in those defenses after all!) and maybe a promise that the US will try to defend it for at least a few turns.
